Breakfast Diary

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love breakfast. It is probably the single most important thing that gets me out of bed in the mornings. I am particularly fond of savory, hot breakfasts. It’s the easiest way I can set a tone of self-care for myself to start the day: by putting together a good meal to enjoy slowly. This page is partially for myself. But it’s also for you–for the mornings you want to live and eat slowly. Scroll through for weekly breakfast inspiration. I’ll add short tags about what’s included in each so that you can plan your slow morning, or get inspired to create your own with what you have available.

Fried cornbread (on the blog). Savory: cream cheese, micro greens, bacon bits, poached egg, Trader Joe’s everything but the bagel seasoning. Sweet: Cream cheese whipped with 2 tsp powdered sugar + golden raspberries, blackberries, and pomegranate seeds

Leftover wild rice blend with baby kale (seasoned with lemon juice and jacobsen salt co rosemary salt), leftover lamb chops, a fried egg, sliced radish, and pomegranate seeds.
Trader Joe’s Cruciferous Crunch with Chopped Radicchio, sliced rainbow carrots and beef bacon, tossed in lemon juice and jacobsen salt co black garlic salt + a soft boiled egg.
Rice mixed with chirmol salsa (search ‘chirmol’ on the blog for recipe), red cabbage, kale, leftover pinto beans, and two quesadillas + avocado rose.
35 Minute Biscuit ( on the blog) with spinach, a fried egg sprinkled with jacobsen salt co black garlic salt, tillamook white cheddar, and beef bacon.
Leftover turmeric rice sautéed with red cabbage, chirmol salsa (on the blog), a fried egg + avocado.
Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Protein Granola + Nature’s Path Q’ia, Pisatacchios, golden raspberries, chocolate chips, blackberries, sunflower seeds, coconut shreds, and Califia Farms toasted coconut almond milk.
Grand Central Bakery Como Slice with Maranatha Coconut Almond Butter + blackberries, pistachios, coconut shreds, black chia seeds, and honey + GCB como slice with spinach, a fried egg, and beef bacon.
